Kenyan sports fans now have access to more live sporting action following the launch of SportyTV on DStv and GOtv.
The 24-hour sports channel, owned by Sporty Group, is now available on DStv Channel 237 and GOtv Channel 58 in Kenya. The launch also extends to Nigeria and Ghana, marking a major push to make live sport more accessible across Africa.
SportyTV will be available on DStv Access and GOtv Value, giving subscribers access to about 750 live sporting events every year. The channel will carry football, basketball, combat sports, sports news, analysis, highlights and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
David Mignot, CEO of CANAL+ Africa, said the addition of SportyTV strengthens the DStv Access and GOtv Value offering by bringing more live sports content to viewers at an affordable price.

Bringing new and exciting sports events to our customers, at an accessible price point, reflects our commitment to making quality sport available to as many fans as possible across the continent,” he said.
The channel adds to DStv’s existing sports portfolio and complements SuperSport’s broader sports coverage. According to Rendani Ramovha, CANAL+ Director of Sport Content in English and Portuguese-speaking Africa, SportyTV gives viewers more choice and expands the range of live action available to African sports fans.
Football will form a major part of the channel’s programming. Viewers can expect coverage from competitions including the English Premier League, Carabao Cup, EFL Championship, Women’s FA Cup, La Liga, Spanish Super Cup, Bundesliga and Serie A.
SportyTV will also carry Real Madrid TV, Arsenal TV, Chelsea TV and Manchester City TV, offering fans access to club content from some of Europe’s biggest teams. The channel will further feature South American football through the Copa Libertadores, Argentina League and Brazil Serie A, as well as action from the Greek League and Saudi Pro League.
Beyond football, SportyTV’s line-up includes NBA basketball and a growing portfolio of international sports content.

DStv Access subscribers will now get additional value from the new channel, which brings live sport that was previously unavailable on the package. The bouquet also includes more than 80 channels across movies, series, lifestyle, reality shows, news and children’s entertainment.
SportyTV officially launched on June 10, 2026, and is available in HD on DStv and GOtv in Kenya.
