DStv and GOtv customers are set to enjoy more entertainment, sport, drama and family content at no extra cost following the launch of the Open Time promotion, which runs from June 1 to June 30.
The campaign gives eligible subscribers automatic access to higher packages once they pay for their current subscription. Customers do not need to opt in, change their package, or pay an additional amount to enjoy the upgrade.
The offer is designed to give customers a wider viewing experience throughout the month, opening up access to more premium content across sport, local entertainment, international shows, children’s programming, movies and lifestyle channels.
Under the promotion, DStv Compact+ and DStv Compact subscribers will be upgraded to DStv Premium, while DStv Family+ and DStv Family customers will move up to DStv Compact. DStv Access subscribers will be upgraded to DStv Family. However, DStv Lite customers are not eligible for the complimentary upgrade.
GOtv subscribers will also benefit from the campaign. GOtv Supa and GOtv Max customers will be upgraded to GOtv Supa+, while GOtv Plus customers will move up to GOtv Max. GOtv Value and GOtv Lite subscribers are not eligible for the upgrade.
The promotion applies to customers who stay connected, reconnect, or join during the campaign period. Once payment reflects and the account is active and fully paid, the upgrade is automatically applied to the customer’s decoder.
For sports fans, the Open Time campaign comes at a timely moment, offering more access to live action and sporting entertainment during a month when viewers are keen to follow major football conversations and other sports programming. The upgrade also gives households more room to explore a wider range of content without adjusting their monthly subscription budgets.
The campaign also targets families looking for more variety at home. With the automatic upgrade, customers can discover new channels, enjoy more children’s content, watch additional drama and entertainment shows, and sample programming that may not usually be available on their regular packages.
At the end of the campaign, customers will return to their original subscription packages. The promotion does not alter the customer’s bill and does not require any manual change to their existing package.
The Open Time offer is part of DStv and GOtv’s effort to reward loyal customers and encourage more viewers to experience the breadth of content available across their platforms.
